You can choose to include frame slides, hidden slides, comments, ink, non-printing information such as Document properties or Document structure tags, in your PDF by selecting the appropriate options. Additionally, make sure that any images you are using in your presentation are high resolution. Here is how to change the display ratio in MS Powerpoint and in Google Slides. You can also specify the number of slides to appear in Slides per page dropdown box, and modify the order ( Horizontal or Vertical). The ideal aspect ratio for Thinkific Presentation Lessons is Widescreen 16:9 (1920px by 1080px), so youll want to make sure to upload a PDF with that aspect ratio. If you don't want to save slides, but instead only save comments, handouts, or Outline view, under Publish what, select an appropriate option. To save specific slides as PDF, in Slides(s), enter the slide number range in From and To boxes. To save the current slide only as a PDF, under Range, select Current slide. Select Minimum size to make the file smaller (for example, if you want to send it as an e-mail attachment).Ĭlick Options to set how the presentation will appear as a PDF. Optionally, if you want to change what the final PDF file is like, do any of the following:Īt Optimize for, select Standard for higher quality (for example, if you want to print it). If you want it to have a different name, enter it in the File name box. In the Publish as PDF or XPS dialog box, choose a location to save the file to. Please note that after this change in the registry, hte images will not be compressed for new PPT file only.Click Create PDF/XPS Document, then click Create PDF/XPS. Just insert the PDF in PowerPoint or Visio, ungroup it and start making changes. Fix 3: Disable Compression for all the PPT files using Registry Editor Use PDFs without wasting time redrawing them. This exports beautifully to PowerPoint, AND the vector drawing is fully editable afterwards in PowerPoint Change line widths or colors, add or delete lines etc. ![]() NOTE: This setting will be applicable only to the current file. The larger the PPI, the better is the resolution of the image. Step 5: From the Default resolution dro-down, choose High Fidelity or a larger PPI value. Step 4: Make sure Do not compress images in the file option is not ticked. Step 3: Scroll down to the Image Size and Quality section Open artwork in Illustrator on PC and open PowerPoint on PC. Basically, you copy and paste from Illustrator to PowerPoint - you dont have to save as a PDF or any other format. Step 2: Click on Advanced from the left-hand side I am a designer who frequently uses Adobe Illustrator to create / edit artwork to use in PowerPoint. This way, PowerPoint will export only high-resolution images. What we are going to do is configure PowerPoint to export images at 300 DPI instead. And these awful resolutions are what lead to your ugly pictures. Ive tried to apply similar solutions that were mentioned for Word, but cannot find the option to not compress the pictures. This forces your pictures to be exported at awful resolutions like 960×720 or 1280×720. Ive tried Paste Special/Bitmap, Picture (Ehanced Metafile) and Picture (Windows Metafile). ![]() ![]() Step 1: Open the PowerPoint Options window. When copying a table from Excel (5 Rows x 4 columns) and pasting into Powerpoint the image is blurry. Fix 2: Enable compression with Good resolution In case, you open a new PPT file, Powerpoint will continue to compress the images. Click and drag the Sharpen and Soften slider to the right to make the image sharper. Sharpen a picture by right-clicking it and selecting 'Format Picture' to open the Format Picture dialog window. NOTE: This setting will be applicable only for the current file. PowerPoint's sharpening tool can't decompress images that it has already compressed, but it can help you make fuzzy images clearer. Step 7: Tick on Do not compress images in the file option With this registry hack, pages exported e.g as JPEG or PNG will be saved with a correspondingly high resolution - in newer versions of PowerPoint even without the previous limitation to 307 dpi. Step 6: Scroll down to the Image Size and Quality section Unfortunately, the well-known registry solution described for example here does not work when exporting to PDF. Step 5: From the left-hand side, click on Advanced Step 4: PowerPoint Options window that opens. ![]() Step 3: Click on More and then click on Options
